FODI’s Annual General Meeting was held yesterday, the 13th of November 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The meeting was well-attended by our dedicated staff members, esteemed board of trustees, valued partners from the voluntary sector, and our committed volunteers.
The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and anticipation as we gathered to reflect on the past year’s achievements, changes, and challenges. Our CEO, Steve Newman, delivered an engaging and insightful presentation on FODI’s activities throughout the year. His exceptional sense of humor ensured that everyone remained attentive and engaged, making the session both informative and enjoyable. Following Steve’s presentation, Mahnur Rushan, our treasurer, provided a comprehensive update on FODI’s financial status. She detailed our funding sources and outlined how donations and funds are allocated within the organization. Fanni Ngambi, our FODI Manager, then took the stage to express her heartfelt gratitude towards our volunteers for their unwavering commitment, time, and dedication.
She emphasized the importance of mentoring each other to ensure the smooth operation of FODI’s activities. As the meeting drew to a close, appreciation letters and gifts were presented to our volunteers by Jane Nikolarakis, a trusted member of our board and a dedicated volunteer herself. This gesture served as a token of our deep appreciation for their invaluable contributions to FODI. We look forward to continuing our collaborative efforts in the coming year, building on the successes of the past and working together to overcome any challenges that may arise.
