In response to the challenging times during the riots in Sunderland, women from various cultural backgrounds have come together with a shared vision of promoting peace and unity. This remarkable project, initiated by the Sangini Women, aims to symbolize our collective desire for harmony and understanding. The project involves creating a beautiful patchwork banner, with each woman contributing a unique piece representing her culture and personal message of peace. The FODI Women have also graciously joined this project, further enriching our collaborative efforts. We aim to transform these individual patches into a vibrant tapestry that embodies our shared commitment to peace and solidarity. This banner will remind us of our resilience and unity, even in adversity.
