FODI was delighted to have a table at the Freshers Event at Sunderland College, Bede Campus on 30th September. Students we spoke to had varying degrees of knowledge of asylum issues but were generally well informed and keen to learn more. We renewed contact with plenty of partner organisations such as City of Sanctuary and Young Asian Voices (YAV). We felt a welcoming atmosphere as befits an institution with College of Sanctuary status.
