On Monday, 15th June, Refugee Week officially began with a community walk from Minster Church to Barnes Park.
The walk served as a powerful reminder of the difficult journeys that many refugees undertake in search of safety, hope, and a better future. It was an opportunity to reflect, show solidarity, and stand together in support of those who have been forced to flee their homes.
A huge shout-out and heartfelt thank you to Chris Howson and Steve Newman for organising this meaningful event. Your hard work and dedication helped create an important moment of reflection and community spirit.
