FODI ESOL students enjoyed some wonderful trips over the summer, creating opportunities to explore new places, connect with others and support their wellbeing.
In July, our service users visited the fantastic Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead, where they enjoyed the wonderful views and spent time exploring the centre.
Then, in early August, FODI volunteers and service users were out on tour again! This time, we enjoyed a lovely walk that ended at Souter Lighthouse. The welcome was just as warm as the beautiful summer weather!
Trips like these are a great way to support wellbeing, reduce isolation and strengthen friendships and community connections. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the outdoors, having a chat, sharing experiences and making happy memories together.
