This summer, we had the pleasure of welcoming the refugee women’s choir from Germany called the Wonderful Women of Wuppertal. It was a beautiful opportunity to come together, share experiences, celebrate our diversity, and build connections across cultures.
But their kindness did not end when they returned to Germany!
After their visit, the choir organised a fundraising effort to support FODI and the work we do for the asylum seekers and refugee community. We are truly touched by their generosity, thoughtfulness, and continued support.
On behalf of everyone at FODI, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to every member of the Women of Wuppertal Choir and everyone who contributed to their fundraising efforts.
Thank you for standing with us, believing in our work, and helping us to continue supporting refugees and asylum seekers in Sunderland. We feel incredibly fortunate to have you in our women’s group and hope our paths cross again soon!
